What if the future of a nation could be traced back to a mother’s embrace and a baby’s first breath?
On World Health Day 2025, under the global theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” SINA Health, Education & Welfare Trust ignited more than a campaign—it sparked a movement. Held at Habitt City Talk, the event transcended awareness and became a bold declaration of what’s possible when we prioritize the well-being of mothers and children.
When We Care for Mothers, We Create Futures
In Pakistan, where preventable maternal and newborn deaths continue to be a stark reality, this event became a rallying cry. A call for urgent investment. A reminder that when a mother thrives—physically, emotionally, and mentally—her children, family, and community flourish alongside her.
Dr. Sameer Mohiuddin, COO of SINA, captured the spirit of the evening:
“Healthy beginnings aren’t just about healthcare—they’re about humanity. They’re about giving every woman and child the dignity, safety, and support they deserve.”
From Forgotten to Frontline: SINA’s Story
From humble beginnings to thriving clinics in the midst of densely populated underserved communities, SINA is on a mission to uplift maternal and child health to much better standards. For the last 26 years, SINA has worked in areas others overlook—where healthcare is scarce, trust is fragile, and needs are great.
Through a moving video and real-life success stories, attendees were immersed in SINA’s journey—of empowering mothers to give birth safely, of providing critical prenatal and postnatal care, and of supporting the holistic growth of every child.
In a country where maternal health is often sidelined, SINA is building a future where women have access to respectful care, skilled doctors, safe deliveries, nutritional support, vaccinations for newborns, and most importantly—hope.
Supporting the Mind: Why Maternal Mental Health Matters
At the heart of maternal and child wellness lies a critical yet often neglected factor—mental health. SINA recognizes that the mental well-being of a mother is just as important as her physical health.
Pregnancy and postpartum periods bring immense emotional change. Without proper support, mothers may experience anxiety, depression, or postpartum disorders—conditions
that can affect bonding with the child, developmental milestones, and even a child’s long- term mental health.
SINA has taken bold steps to integrate mental health services across its clinics. Women are screened for prenatal and postnatal mental health challenges, and those in need are offered free therapy, counseling, and psychiatric consultations in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Because when a mother’s mind is at ease, her heart is open—and her child can grow in love, stability, and strength.
Powerful Partnerships, Deeper Impact
The event’s highlight was a dynamic panel discussion titled “Strengthening Healthcare through Partnerships,” featuring national health champions committed to maternal and child well-being:
- Mr. Akbar Rajani — CEO, Vital Pakistan Trust
- Dr. Ahson Rabbani — CEO, Child Life Foundation
- Ms. Yasirah Gohar — Clinical Psychologist, Karwan-e-Hayat
- Dr. Talib Hussain — Population Welfare Department
- Dr. Sameer Mohiuddin — COO, SINA
Together, they explored actionable strategies—expanding access to maternal care, addressing postpartum mental health, and building integrated systems that place women and children at the center.

Honoring the Heroes Behind the Hope
SINA honored each panelist and partner with shields and certificates—symbols of gratitude for the extraordinary work they do behind the scenes. Because behind every healthy mother and child are compassionate changemakers who believe in building something better.
The Future Isn’t Tomorrow. It’s Ours Today.
As the event drew to a close with renewed purpose and quiet conviction, one truth echoed throughout: every child born into safety, every mother supported with care, and every community empowered with resources shapes a better Pakistan.
From medical camps to mobile clinics, from childhood immunizations to mental wellness,
SINA is not just treating patients—it’s building a foundation for generations to come.
