Renowned human rights lawyer and Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s lawyer Clive Stafford Smith has said that the obstacle to the return of Dr Aafia Siddiqui is seen in Pakistan.
Addressing the lawyers at The Karachi Bar Association, Jinnah Auditorium, City Courts, Dr Aafia Siddiqui case lawyer Clive Smith said that the torture of Aafia is worse than Guantanamo Bay.
I appeal to you not to disappoint him. He said that he is in Pakistan today to bring Aafia Siddiqui back home.
Dr Aafia Siddiqui has no idea where she is right now. I have met Aafia and i have given her hope.
It seems that the obstacle in bringing Aafia back home is from within her own country.
On the other hand, Karachi Bar Association President Amir Saleem Advocate said that they fully support the demand for Aafia’s return home.

On this occasion, Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui said that there can be no bigger violence on a woman than taking away her children.
