Women’s cricket will be one of three exhibition sports at the 34th National Games, which will be held in Quetta from May 15 to 23.
This is an amazing step for women’s sports in Pakistan. Tug-of-war and futsal will be the other two display sports at the gala, in addition to the 31 main disciplines, the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) announced in a press statement.
A major step in promoting women’s cricket in Pakistan has been the sport’s inclusion in the National Games. This is the first time the game will be a part of a national athletic event, despite having previously been a part of the Asian and Commonwealth Games.
