Dubai is planning to build the world’s first Bitcoin Tower, which will be a hotel shaped like the cryptocurrency. The aim of this unique project is to promote blockchain technology and explore its potential uses. The Bitcoin Tower will utilize artificial intelligence to reduce paper usage and adopt eco-friendly practices in its day-to-day operations.
Salvatore Leggiero, the real estate developer behind the project, unveiled details and visuals of the design at the COP28 meeting held in Dubai on May 24. The tower will have 40 floors, following Dubai’s architectural style that includes the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
The Bitcoin Tower will incorporate non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as part of its internal rewards and transaction systems. These NFTs will have practical value within the hotel. Guests who stake cryptocurrencies with the hotel will be able to use their rewards to pay for their accommodations.
