The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that all preparations for transporting pilgrims to Mina have been completed as Hajj rituals officially begin. Authorities confirmed that operational plans and field arrangements are fully in place to manage the movement of millions of worshippers.
Pilgrims staying in Makkah have started travelling to Mina to observe the Day of Tarwiyah, which marks the beginning of the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Mina, often known as the tent city, becomes a central location for pilgrims during the early stages of Hajj.
This year, hundreds of thousands of local pilgrims from Saudi Arabia are taking part in the pilgrimage alongside more than 1.5 million international pilgrims who have arrived from different countries around the world.
As pilgrims move towards Mina, many are reciting the Talbiyah, a special prayer repeated during Hajj that reflects devotion, faith and submission to Allah. The spiritual atmosphere has filled the holy sites as Muslims begin one of the most important religious journeys in Islam.
Saudi authorities have implemented extensive arrangements to manage transportation, accommodation, crowd control and safety measures to support pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage period. Officials say preparations aim to ensure smooth movement and provide services for worshippers.
Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and is performed annually by Muslims who are physically and financially able to undertake the journey. The pilgrimage brings together millions of people from different backgrounds, languages and cultures in a shared act of worship.
Further Hajj rituals will continue in the coming days as pilgrims complete different stages of the sacred pilgrimage.
