YouTube is soon going to launch a beta version of its short video offering, YouTube Shorts in the upcoming weeks in the US.
YouTube Shorts, which is part of the main YouTube app, enables users to make and share 15-second vertical videos. It is the company’s response to TikTok and Instagram Reels. Previous month, CEO Susan Wojcicki said the feature had notched up 3.5 billion daily views since its launch in September 2020.
Moreover, YouTube will soon start adding video chapters to relevant videos automatically, to allow users to navigate them easily. As of today, creators need to include chapters manually.
