Zaka Ashraf Presents Rs. 300,000 to Each Member of Pakistan’s Blind Cricket Team

Zaka Ashraf, who leads the Management Committee at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), organized a special event at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Friday to honor the Pakistan Blind Cricket team and their officials. This event celebrated the team’s fantastic achievement of winning the gold medal at the 2023 International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games held in Birmingham.

The Pakistan Blind cricket team showed incredible skills and determination during the IBSA World Games. They became champions by beating India twice in the tournament. In the T20 format, they remained unbeaten, winning against India, Bangladesh, Australia, and England. They secured the gold medal with a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over India on August 26, 2023.

Chairman Zaka Ashraf praised the blind cricketers and officials, recognizing their hard work and ability to overcome challenges. To show appreciation and support for their dedication to the sport, he gave each player and official a cheque of Rs. 300,000.
