The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the start of the post-Hajj flight operation to bring Pakistani pilgrims back home after completing their pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The first return flight is scheduled to depart from Jeddah on the night of May 31 and arrive in Sialkot. The flight will carry 391 Pakistani pilgrims returning from Hajj.
According to officials, the majority of return flights will reach Pakistan on June 1. On the first day of the operation, 22 flights are expected to transport a total of 5,237 pilgrims to different cities across the country.
These flights will land at major airports including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Quetta, allowing pilgrims to return to their hometowns after completing one of the most important religious obligations in Islam.
Officials said that around 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims who performed Hajj under the government scheme will be brought back through a total of 471 flights. The large-scale operation will continue throughout June and is expected to conclude on June 30.
Authorities have made arrangements to ensure a smooth return process, including coordination with airlines, airport management and support staff. Special measures have also been taken to assist elderly pilgrims and those requiring additional support during travel.
The return operation marks the final stage of this year’s Hajj journey, as thousands of pilgrims reunite with their families after completing the sacred pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
