17,000 Jobs for Teachers! KPK Govt Ready to Advertise Jobs

KPK government is preparing to announce the recruitment of 17,000 new teachers across the province. This decision aims to address the shortage of educators in both boys’ and girls’ schools, following recent retirements and promotions that left many positions vacant.

Faisal Khan Tarakai, the Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, shared the update during a meeting held to review the teacher recruitment policy. Senior officials, including the Special Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, Qaiser Alam, and Director IT, Salahuddin, were also present at the discussion.

The minister highlighted that filling these vacancies is an urgent matter, as providing qualified teachers to schools is one of the government’s top priorities. He added that authorities have been instructed to identify teachers who are on extended leave, working abroad, or on deputation in other departments. These teachers will be called back to resume their teaching responsibilities immediately.

In addition, steps will be taken to ensure that teachers currently holding management positions in district offices or other administrative roles are returned to their original teaching posts. The minister emphasized that teaching should remain their primary responsibility, and they are not permitted to take on other duties.

The recruitment of these 17,000 teachers will not require new budget allocations, as the positions already exist within the provincial education system. However, the provincial government will seek a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Finance Department to proceed with the hiring process.

This move by the KPK government is expected to boost the quality of education and ensure that schools have the teachers they need to operate effectively.
