🐄💉A fresh boost for livestock disease prevention in Pakistan: China has donated 300,000 doses of veterinary vaccines to help prevent lumpy skin disease (LSD) and brucellosis.
The vaccines were handed over Wednesday at Pakistan’s National Agricultural Research Centre in Islamabad, after arriving in the capital earlier.
The donation follows a veterinary vaccine agreement signed by China and Pakistan in 2025. China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs coordinated with relevant companies to produce the vaccines.
Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain said Pakistan looks forward to learning from China’s experience in livestock development, veterinary services, agricultural research, biotechnology and animal disease control.
A field demonstration of vaccination procedures was also held at the centre.
