1978 Rolex Watch with Sheikh Mohammed’s Signature Sold for Over Rs. 7 Crore

Dubai has become a top spot for people who love collecting special things like art, fancy cars, watches, and luxurious items. Because of this, many auction houses now choose Dubai to sell their rarest items and get the best prices. In a recent auction by RM Sotheby’s in Dubai, they sold rare cars and watches worth more than $17 million (Dh62 million).

One of the most special watches sold at the auction was the Rolex Daytona UAE, made around 1978. It had the coat of arms of the UAE and the signature of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is now the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.

Apart from watches, the auction also had three supercars that each sold for over Dh10 million. The most remarkable was the 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSR, one of just three in the world, sold for $3.38 million (Dh12.4 million). It had a powerful engine and very low mileage.
