Who owns what we publish, what you are welcome to share, and how to ask permission.

  • Sharing a link and a short quote with credit is welcome.
  • Republishing a story, photo or graphic needs our permission.
  • If your work appears here without credit, tell us.

Our approach

We put a lot of care into what we publish, and we are glad when people share it. This page explains what you can do freely and what needs our permission first.

What is ours

The stories, photos, graphics and other work we create belong to Startup Pakistan and are protected by copyright.

Some photos and graphics on our site belong to others, such as the companies, photographers or agencies who let us use them. Their rights stay with them.

What you are welcome to do

  • Share a link to any of our stories.
  • Quote a short passage, with credit to Startup Pakistan and a link to the story.
  • Share our social posts as they are.

What needs our permission

  • republishing a whole story, or a large part of one
  • using our photos or graphics
  • translating our stories
  • copying our work in bulk, including by automated means
  • using our name or logo
  • using our work to sell or promote something

To ask, write to us through the Contact page. Tell us what you would like to use, where and how.

If your work appears without credit

We aim to credit everyone whose work we use. If your work appears on Startup Pakistan without credit or without your permission, tell us through the Contact page, and include:

  • the page where your work appears
  • the work, and how you hold the rights to it
  • what you would like us to do, such as add a credit or take it down

We aim to look into it promptly and to put things right.

If you see our work elsewhere

If you find our work republished without our permission, we would be grateful if you let us know.
