On Thursday, Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh said that agreements had been signed with suppliers to supply 200,000 households in 10 districts of the province with solar power.
While talking, he said that 200,000 houses in Sujawal, Badin, Mithi, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Khairpur, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad and Qambar-Shahdadkot districts would be energised with solar energy under the agreements.
Mr Shaikh said that the provincial government was performing on transparent and environment-friendly energy projects to beat the energy crisis.
“With reference to environment-friendly power projects within the province, the agreement has been finalized today with the suppliers for the availability of solar-powered electricity to 200,000 households in 10 districts of the province,” he added.
