3 Civilian Killed as Indian MiG-21 Jet Crashes

A MiG-21 aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Suratgarh in Rajasthan during a routine training sortie, resulting in the tragic deaths of three civilians.

The IAF has initiated a Court of Inquiry to determine the cause of the accident.

The crash occurred in Bahlolnagar village, as confirmed by Sudheer Choudhary, the Superintendent of Police in Hanumangarh. Two women lost their lives at the scene, while a third, who suffered critical injuries, passed away in the hospital.

Additionally, three individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a government hospital. The deceased have been identified as Leela Devi (55), wife of Rampratap; Bansho Kaur (45), wife of Ratan Singh alias Ratiram; and Banto (60), wife of Lal Singh.

According to Kuldeep Moond, a former sarpanch of Bahlolnagar, the women were not related but happened to be at Bansho Kaur’s residence when the aircraft crashed.
