5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Islamabad, Lahore & Parts of KP

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, causing panic among residents who rushed out of homes, offices, and commercial buildings.

Tremors were also felt in nearby areas, although no immediate reports of casualties or major structural damage were received from the affected regions.


According to seismic monitoring authorities, the earthquake originated at a moderate depth, with officials continuing to assess the situation.

Emergency services have been placed on alert, while authorities have advised citizens to remain calm, follow safety guidelines, and report any damage to the relevant departments as aftershocks remain possible.
