60 Students Fainted in Shikarpur After Being Made to Stand in Sun for School Photoshoot

More than 60 students were hospitalized after reportedly suffering heat-related illnesses during an outdoor photoshoot at a private school in Shikarpur.

The affected students included 46 girls and 14 boys, who were allegedly required to remain under the intense sun for an extended period despite the ongoing summer vacations and severe heatwave conditions.

According to reports, the students began experiencing symptoms such as dizziness, dehydration, and exhaustion before being rushed to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.

Doctors later confirmed that all of the students were treated successfully and are now out of danger.

The incident has raised serious concerns about student safety and the responsibilities of educational institutions during extreme weather.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine why the school called students to campus during the holidays and whether proper safety protocols were ignored. The findings of the inquiry are expected to determine if any negligence occurred and whether action should be taken against those responsible.
