79% of Pakistanis did not see an Indian film, in the previous year

Surprisingly, nearly four out of every five Pakistanis admit they had not seen any Indian films in the previous year.

A Gallup and Gilani Pakistan survey revealed this.

“Please tell, have you seen any Indian movies in the previous year?” a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was questioned.

In response to this question, 21% replied yes and 79% said no.

In the recent year, 79 percent of Pakistanis had not seen an Indian film. In a gender split of the sample size, the Gallup and Gilani Pakistan group reported that more males (23 percent) acknowledged to seeing Indian films in the previous year than females (15 percent).

The Gilani Research Foundation published the study. It was conducted between August 13, 2021, and September 5, 2021, on a sample of 1,418 men and women in urban and rural locations across all four provinces of the country.
