80 Year Old Woman Sets World Record by Donating 203 Blood Units

The best give a person can give to another is the gift of life (Blood). Despite of saving human life there are tons of health benefits for donors too but other hand many are sceptical of the process.

A 80 year old woman, who usually donates blood has now named in the Guinness World Record for the most whole blood donated (female).

According to the Guinness World Record official website, Josephine Michaluk has donated 203 units of blood in her life, saving countless lives.

She started donating in 1965 at the age of 22, donating blood since around 60 years.

It is noticeable that one unit of blood is equally around one US pint (473 ml), so in total, she has donated 96,019 ml (96 litres).

Mrs Michaluk said her sister talked her into her first donation.

”I decided I would join her and that was the beginning,” she recalled. ”I feel like I have it in me to give,” she said when asked why she does it. ”I can share it with people that need it”, she added.
