Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced a significant initiative to establish the ‘Karachi Museum’ at Denso Hall on M A Jinnah Road. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Council passed a resolution supporting this project, which aims to showcase rare artifacts, maps, and photographs, offering a comprehensive glimpse into Karachi’s rich history, civilization, and culture. This museum is poised to become a valuable resource for historical researchers, students, and citizens keen on understanding their city’s heritage.
During a visit to historical landmarks such as Khaliq Dina Hall and Denso Hall, Mayor Wahab emphasized the importance of preserving these structures in their original condition. He articulated a commitment to preventing alterations to the design, structure, or elevation of Karachi’s historical buildings, emphasizing the need to protect this heritage for future generations.
Mayor Wahab acknowledged Karachi’s illustrious past, particularly its wealth of historical buildings, and asserted the city administration’s responsibility for their preservation.
