Pakistan is preparing to launch its second satellite, called ‘PAKSAT MM1,’ on Thursday, May 30. This communication satellite is designed to improve TV broadcasts, mobile phone services, and internet connectivity across the country.
The satellite will be launched from China’s XiChang Satellite Launch Centre. This project represents a significant technological partnership between China and Pakistan. It is expected to positively impact Pakistan’s socio-economic conditions and contribute to the country’s digital transformation.
Although the initial costs of launching and operating the satellite are high, the long-term benefits are substantial. These benefits include creating high-tech jobs, attracting foreign and domestic investments, and boosting economic growth.
