Over 120 Ancient Copies of Quran Stolen from Quetta’s Jabal-e-Noor

More than 120 ancient copies of the Holy Quran were stolen from the Jabale Noorul Quran in Quetta after thieves broke into the building.

The thieves smashed the glass of display cases and took the valuable manuscripts, some of which are over 600 years old. These rare copies were part of a collection kept at a shrine on Quetta’s Jabal-e-Noor, also known as the “Mountain of Light.”

The theft has shocked the local community, as the site has been a place of pilgrimage for people visiting to view these important historical manuscripts. The Quranic copies were considered a valuable cultural and religious treasure.

A police report has been filed at the Barori Police Station, and investigations are underway to identify the thieves and recover the stolen items. Authorities are working hard to trace the culprits and bring them to justice.

This incident has raised concerns about the protection of such valuable heritage sites and the preservation of religious artifacts.

The shrine at Jabal-e-Noor, once known for housing these manuscripts, is now in the spotlight as the authorities work to ensure such an event does not happen again in the future. The theft of these ancient manuscripts highlights the need for better security measures at religious and historical sites in Pakistan.
