Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi Begins Three Day Official Visit to Islamabad Today

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has arrived in Islamabad for a three-day official visit on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. At Nur Khan Airbase, he received a warm welcome where children in traditional dresses greeted him with flowers.

During his stay, Pakistan and China will hold the Sixth Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue. The main focus of this dialogue will be to strengthen cooperation in areas such as politics, economy, security, and regional connectivity.

Both sides are also expected to discuss new trade opportunities and ways to further expand the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is seen as a key project for economic growth and development.

This visit holds importance as it comes before Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s planned trip to Beijing later this month to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

The timing shows how both countries are continuing to work closely at a high level to support each other in regional and global matters.

Analysts believe that the visit will help in building stronger ties between the two countries. The focus on cooperation in multiple sectors highlights the commitment of Pakistan and China to move forward together.

With upcoming meetings and planned agreements, the visit is expected to play a significant role in shaping future policies and partnerships.

Wang Yi’s presence in Islamabad once again underlines the deep and trusted friendship between Pakistan and China, built on years of political, economic, and cultural understanding.
