Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft Until November 23

Pakistan has extended its airspace ban on Indian aircraft for another month, keeping the restriction in place until November 23, 2025.

The notice was officially issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) through a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) released earlier this week.

The ban applies to both civilian and military flights operating to and from India. It was first imposed on April 23, 2025, after tensions escalated between the two neighboring countries. Since then, the restriction has been reviewed and extended multiple times as regional relations remain strained.

According to aviation sources, the extension means Indian airlines will continue to reroute their international flights to avoid Pakistani airspace.

This not only increases flight times but also adds to operational costs for carriers. Pakistani authorities have stated that the decision was made in the interest of “national security and regional stability.”

The CAA has assured that the situation will be monitored closely and any future decisions will depend on regional developments and diplomatic progress between the two sides.

With no signs of immediate resolution, the airspace restriction continues to reflect the tense state of relations between Pakistan and India, even as global observers urge both countries to return to dialogue and cooperation.
