A young Pakistani, Ahsan Yaseen, has brought great pride to Pakistan by winning the Youth Camel Race at the 54th Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Camel Racing Festival held in Sharjah.
Only 18 years old, Ahsan is a Dubai-based engineering student who competed against some of the best and most experienced Arab riders. Despite the tough competition, he secured first place, winning the prestigious Golden Camel Trophy along with a cash prize of AED 50,000.
The race took place at the Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track and covered a distance of 2 kilometers. Ahsan did not start in the lead — he began the race in sixth position. However, through strong focus, patience, and determination, he steadily overtook other riders. He crossed the finish line in just 3 minutes and 47 seconds, claiming a memorable victory.
This win is especially meaningful because camel racing is a traditional sport deeply connected to Arab culture and heritage. For a young Pakistani to excel and win at such a prestigious event makes this achievement truly special and historic.
Ahsan Yaseen’s success highlights the talent and potential of Pakistani youth on international platforms and serves as an inspiration for young people everywhere.
