A milkman in Lahore’s Nawankot area was taken into custody by the Lahore Traffic Police after officials discovered that he had accumulated Rs. 100,000 in unpaid e-challans for repeated traffic violations.
According to the traffic police, the rider was stopped during a routine inspection conducted by Traffic Inspector Nadeem Ullah. A check of the motorcycle’s record revealed 50 pending e-challans, all issued for riding without wearing a helmet. Despite being fined multiple times for the same offense, the rider continued using the motorcycle without complying with traffic safety regulations.
Following the inspection, the police impounded the motorcycle and shifted it to Nawankot Police Station for further legal proceedings. Authorities said the action was taken to enforce traffic laws and encourage road safety among motorists.
The Lahore Traffic Police have once again appealed to the public to strictly follow traffic rules, wear helmets while riding motorcycles, and clear any outstanding e-challans on time. Officials warned that motorists who ignore repeated violations and fail to pay their fines may face legal action, including the seizure of their vehicles.
