Pakistan’s security forces seized drugs and liquor worth more than Rs. 20 billion during a joint intelligence-based operation in the Arabian Sea. The successful action was carried out after authorities received specific information about illegal smuggling activities in the area.
The operation was led by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) with close support from the Pakistan Navy. It was also conducted in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
Through strong teamwork and timely intelligence sharing, the agencies were able to intercept the smuggled goods at sea before they could reach their destination.
According to officials, the seized items included a large quantity of illegal drugs and liquor. The total estimated value of the confiscated goods exceeds Rs. 20 billion, making it one of the major anti-smuggling operations in recent times.
Authorities believe the shipment was part of a larger network involved in narcotics trafficking and illegal trade.
Officials stated that this operation reflects strong coordination among different security and maritime agencies. It also shows Pakistan’s firm commitment to stopping smuggling and drug trafficking through its sea routes. Such actions are important not only for national security but also for protecting society from the harmful effects of drugs.
Security forces have reaffirmed their resolve to continue monitoring maritime borders closely and to take strict action against anyone involved in illegal activities.
