Extension of the Sehat Card plus Scheme is formally announced by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan to the province’s southern districts, completing the process of extending the huge free treatment facility to the province’s whole population.
Chief Minister claimed that under the Sehat card plus scheme, 65 million households in the province would be eligible for free treatment worth up to one million rupees per year.
In addition to kidney and liver transplants, other treatment services were incorporated in Sehat Card Plus to make it a full package, he noted.
Mahmood Khan, who addressed the inaugural ceremonies, commended the province’s people on the successful extension of Sehat Card Plus to the province’s whole population.
Sehat Card Plus, he added, was a watershed moment in the provincial government’s efforts to construct a welfare state in which the province’s whole population would be eligible for free health care based on their national identity card.
