As the country’s tech exports increased six times in the last decade, JISA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) has termed Pakistan as the “next powerhouse of ICT (information and communication technology sector)”.
According to a recent report by the state-run JICA, “one of the primary driving elements in this trend is the digital Pakistan policy 2018, which offers several incentives to the IT sector”.

According to an analysis that was based on a yearlong study by JICA in partnership with the Pakistan Embassy Tokyo, reports that Pakistan is a popular international outsourcing destination due to its price competitiveness and a vast number of active freelancers.
The latest reports stated that Pakistan is positioned as a new partner for Japanese IT firms. The description of the analysis provides an overview of Pakistan’s ICT industry, including its accomplishments in IT exports, the government’s support networks, a pool of qualified and youthful people resources, and the creation of a growth-driven ecosystem that is equally owned by the public and private sectors.
Pakistani ICT engineers are highly talented in programming, cloud engineering, data processing and analysis, infrastructure architecture, and software development, according to this study’s “IT skills survey 2021.”
