Islamabad is set to welcome new five-star hotels as part of a fresh government push to turn the capital into a modern, world-class city.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired an important meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters on Tuesday. Officials reviewed plans to build luxury hotels through partnerships with well-known international companies. To make the idea more attractive for investors, the government will introduce a zero-tax policy for these hotels.
The meeting also reviewed the advancement of a five-star hotel initiative supported by the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI). Minister Naqvi stressed the need to finish it on time. Islamabad already has some good hotels, but more high-end options are needed to support growing tourism and business visits.
In other decisions, authorities approved a full land survey across the city. They also set up a special marketing team to handle property auctions smoothly. Plus, a new central emergency control room will help improve safety and quick response during any crisis.
These steps show the government’s clear aim to boost investment, create jobs, and make life better for residents and visitors alike. With beautiful spots like the Margalla Hills nearby, better hotels and facilities could help Islamabad shine on the global stage.
The focus remains on timely action so that these projects deliver real benefits soon.
