Rain and Windstorms Expected Across Multiple Regions

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), through its National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC), has issued an alert about expected extreme weather conditions across Pakistan.

Officials warned that a heatwave is likely to continue until May 5. The most affected areas include Sindh, southern parts of Punjab, and regions of Balochistan. These areas may experience very high temperatures, especially in major cities where heat levels could become severe.

In addition, central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to see rising temperatures in the coming days. Authorities have advised people to take precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid unnecessary outdoor activity during peak heat hours.

Along with the heatwave, the NEOC has also forecast unstable weather conditions in several regions. Between April 24 and April 29, different areas of the country may experience rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms. These sudden weather changes could create difficulties in daily life and travel.

Officials have instructed local administrations to activate emergency response plans to handle any possible situation. They have also asked relevant departments to ensure public safety measures are in place, especially in vulnerable areas.

The NDMA has urged citizens to stay updated through official alerts and follow safety guidelines. Authorities said preparedness is important to reduce risks related to both extreme heat and severe weather conditions.

Experts believe that such changing weather patterns highlight the importance of early warnings and timely action to protect lives and property across the country.
