Eidi for Govt Employees! Sindh Govt Announces Early Salaries and Pensions Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

The Government of Sindh has announced the early release of salaries, allowances, and pensions for Muslim government employees and pensioners ahead of Eid ul Adha.

According to an official notification, payments for May 2026 will be issued on May 20 instead of the usual payment date of June 1. The decision was taken to help employees and pensioners manage their expenses and preparations before the Eid holidays.

Officials stated that the early payments will apply to all Muslim provincial government employees, including regular staff, work-charged employees, and contingent paid workers. Pensioners covered under the provincial government system will also receive their payments earlier than scheduled.

Authorities said the move aims to provide financial convenience to government workers and retired employees before the religious festival. Many families typically face increased expenses during Eid due to shopping, travel, and sacrificial animal arrangements.

The announcement has been welcomed by employees and pensioners across Sindh, who believe the early release will help them better prepare for the occasion without financial stress.

Eid ul Adha is expected to be observed on May 27 or 28, depending on the sighting of the moon. Final dates for the religious festival will be confirmed by the official moon-sighting authorities closer to the occasion.

Government officials also stated that all departments have been instructed to ensure timely processing of salaries and pension payments according to the revised schedule.

The decision reflects the government’s effort to facilitate employees and pensioners during important religious events and provide support ahead of the festive holidays.
