Pakistan has unveiled a special commemorative Rs. 75 coin to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations with China, highlighting the longstanding partnership between the two countries. The coin is scheduled to enter circulation on 25 May 2026 and will be available through the field offices of the State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation across the country.
Diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China were officially established on 21 May 1951, and the newly issued coin has been introduced as a tribute to the enduring friendship and cooperation shared by both nations over the decades. According to details released by authorities, the round coin features milled edges and is made from a copper-nickel alloy consisting of 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel.
The commemorative coin weighs 19 grams and has a diameter of 36 millimetres. Its obverse side carries the crescent and star symbol along with the Urdu inscription for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the year 2026, and the denomination of 75 rupees, surrounded by decorative wheat motifs. The special release reflects the significance of Pakistan-China relations, which continue to expand in trade, infrastructure, defence, and regional cooperation.
