Eid Cattle Trade Turns City Roads Into Chaos

As Eid ul Azha gets closer, livestock trading has increased across Hyderabad. However, delays in setting up official cattle markets have forced many sellers to move to roadsides and busy intersections to sell sacrificial animals.

This has created serious traffic problems in different parts of the city, making travel difficult for residents. Poor sanitation has also become a growing concern due to the buildup of animal waste and garbage in public areas.

Several locations, including Latifabad, Qasimabad, and Pakka Qila, are experiencing increasing congestion and cleanliness issues as livestock markets continue to expand without proper arrangements.

At the same time, the prices of sacrificial animals have risen, making it difficult for many buyers to purchase livestock within the city. As a result, some people are traveling to interior Sindh and nearby areas in search of more affordable options.

Because official cattle market contracts have not yet been finalized, many traders are operating in informal roadside markets without proper regulation or management. This situation has increased public inconvenience and created challenges for both residents and authorities.

The delay in organizing official markets has also raised concerns about traffic control, hygiene standards, and public safety ahead of Eid ul Azha, a period when livestock trading usually reaches its peak.
