Three De@d, Seven Injured as Rain Storm Sweep Across Pakistan

Heavy rain, strong winds, and hailstorms affected several parts of Pakistan, causing damage to property and disrupting daily life in many areas. The severe weather impacted different regions, particularly in Sindh and Punjab, where authorities reported casualties and injuries.

According to initial reports, at least three people lost their lives while seven others were injured in weather-related incidents. Emergency teams responded to multiple situations caused by strong winds and heavy rainfall, including falling trees and damaged structures.

The storms caused significant damage in several cities. Trees were uprooted, electricity poles were knocked down, and signboards were blown away by powerful winds. In some areas, solar panels installed on rooftops were also damaged due to the intense weather conditions. As a result, many communities experienced power outages and disruptions to normal activities.

Sukkur was among the cities affected by electricity breakdowns following the storm. Utility teams and local authorities were deployed to restore power and clear damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible.

Despite the destruction, the rainfall brought relief to residents who had been facing extreme temperatures during an ongoing heatwave. The cooler weather provided a welcome break from the intense heat that had affected many cities across the country in recent weeks.

Authorities are continuing restoration and repair work in the affected areas. Officials have advised citizens to remain cautious and follow safety instructions, especially during periods of unstable weather.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in several regions over the coming days. Disaster management agencies and local administrations remain on alert and are monitoring the situation closely to respond to any further weather-related emergencies.
