Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed a public rally in Skardu and asked people to vote for his party in the upcoming election on June 7. He urged supporters to choose the “Arrow” symbol, which represents the PPP.
During his speech, he said that if his party comes into power, it will start development projects in the region similar to those carried out in Sindh. He specifically mentioned housing schemes, saying that homes will be built for local people in the same way the PPP built houses for flood-affected families in Sindh.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted his party’s past performance and said that the PPP has always focused on helping ordinary citizens. He added that the party’s main priorities are providing better job opportunities, improving public welfare, and strengthening basic services for people across the country.
He also referred to programs like the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), saying that such initiatives show the PPP’s commitment to supporting poor and deserving families. According to him, these efforts are aimed at reducing poverty and improving living conditions for vulnerable communities.
The PPP chairman stressed that real development can only happen when local people are empowered and given control over their resources. He said that his party believes in involving communities in decision-making so that development projects meet their actual needs.
He further added that equal development across all regions is important for national unity and progress. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured the crowd that if elected, the PPP would focus on improving infrastructure, housing, and employment opportunities in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The rally ended with a call for unity and support, as he encouraged people to vote for the PPP in the upcoming election.
