Pakistan Secures $3 Billion Saudi Loan Rollover & Ready for $6.7 Billion Oil Deal

Pakistan has received important financial support from Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has agreed to roll over and extend its financial assistance, including a fresh $3 billion deposit. This move strengthens Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and helps the country manage its external debts more easily.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb announced the good news. Saudi Arabia also extended an existing $5 billion facility for longer term, giving Pakistan more stability. This support comes at a key time as the country works to meet targets under its IMF program and build stronger reserves.

At the same time, Pakistan is preparing for deeper energy cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Discussions are ongoing for enhanced oil supply arrangements on deferred payments. Such deals have helped Pakistan in the past by easing pressure on foreign currency for fuel imports.

These developments show the strong and growing friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The financial backing improves economic stability and boosts investor confidence. It also supports energy security, which is vital for industries and daily life.

Stronger bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia can open more doors for trade, investment, and long-term growth. The government continues to work on reforms to make the economy more self-reliant while welcoming friendly support.
