Facebook & Instagram Down Again for 2nd Time in 72 Hours! Thousands of Users Report Issues

Meta-owned social media platforms Facebook and Instagram experienced a temporary outage on Wednesday, affecting thousands of users in Pakistan as well as several other countries.

During the disruption, many users reported difficulties logging into their accounts, refreshing feeds, sending messages, and accessing various features across both platforms.

According to outage monitoring website Downdetector, reports of service interruptions began to rise around midday and quickly peaked as more users encountered problems.

Similar issues were also reported in countries including the United States and Singapore, indicating that the outage affected users across multiple regions rather than being limited to a single country.

The disruption lasted for a few hours before Meta’s services gradually returned to normal, allowing users to regain access to Facebook and Instagram without any major issues.

Although the company did not immediately provide detailed information about the cause of the outage, the platforms resumed normal operations shortly afterward.

The brief interruption sparked widespread discussion on social media, with users turning to alternative platforms to confirm whether the services were down.

The incident also highlighted the heavy dependence of individuals, businesses, and content creators on Meta’s platforms for communication, marketing, news sharing, and entertainment. Even a short outage can disrupt online activities for millions of users worldwide, underscoring the global importance of reliable social media services.
