Meta Announces Free AI Skills Program for 1,000 SMEs Across Pakistan

Meta, the company behind Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, is launching a helpful new program for small businesses in Pakistan. The tech giant will offer free training to 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through its Small Business Growth Academy. The program will run from August to November 2026.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the initiative during a meeting with Meta officials. The training will cover digital business tools, artificial intelligence (AI), and online marketing strategies. It will be implemented nationwide by the local partner AtomCamp through both in-person and online sessions.

AI is like a smart helper that can make work faster and smarter. Businesses can use it to talk to customers, manage sales, create ads, and understand market trends better. This program will help SMEs build a stronger online presence, reach more customers, and grow their businesses.

“The program aims to improve digital skills, expand market access, and support women entrepreneurs and businesses in smaller cities,” Meta representatives explained.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan said Pakistan is focusing heavily on digital growth. “Pakistan’s young population, expanding smartphone use, and growing digital economy offer big opportunities,” he noted. He invited Meta to support the country’s broader digital and AI policies.

This free program is a great chance for Pakistani SMEs to learn modern skills at no cost. It can help create more jobs and boost the economy in the digital age.
