The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) has opened applications for several new positions in Lahore and Rawalpindi, creating employment opportunities for both experienced professionals and qualified drivers. The latest recruitment campaign includes management, IT and transport-related roles, with monthly salaries ranging from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 480,000.
Director Operations Position Offers Highest Salary
PMA is seeking to hire one Director Operations for the Orange Line Metro Rail Transit System in Lahore. This is the highest-paying vacancy in the latest recruitment drive, offering a gross monthly salary of Rs. 480,000, including applicable benefits and taxes.
To qualify, candidates must hold a master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering with relevant transportation engineering studies from an HEC-recognized institution. Applicants are also required to have at least eight years of relevant professional experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have managed or supervised public transport projects. The maximum age limit for this position is 45 years.
Deputy Director IT Vacancy Announced
Another opportunity is available for the position of Deputy Director IT under the Pakistan Metro Bus System in Rawalpindi. The selected candidate will receive a gross monthly salary of Rs. 325,000.
Applicants must have completed 16 years of education in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an HEC-recognized university. In addition, they should possess at least eight years of experience in IT infrastructure deployment. Candidates with expertise in preparing technical specifications, procurement documents and contracts will be given preference. The age limit for this role is 45 years.
PMA Also Hiring Drivers
The authority has also announced five Driver vacancies for Lahore. Four positions are available under the open merit category, while one seat has been reserved for candidates belonging to the minority quota.
Applicants must have a minimum Middle-level qualification, a valid LTV driving licence and at least four years of driving experience. Retired drivers from law enforcement agencies will receive preference during the recruitment process. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 60,000. The maximum age limit for these positions is 40 years.
Application Fee Details
Candidates applying for the Director Operations and Deputy Director IT positions must submit a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 900.
Those applying for Driver positions are required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 500. The payment must be made through a Bank of Punjab deposit slip, and a scanned copy of the paid slip must be uploaded with the online application.
