Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has advised Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to start reforms in the Pakistan Cricket Board.
In a social media post, Asif said systems should keep evolving. He suggested Naqvi should bring a real revolution in the PCB as an example. Cricket fans are still not fully satisfied with the board’s performance, he noted.
Asif pointed out that Naqvi has complete authority over the PCB. There is no Prime Minister, no Parliament, and no outdated political system blocking changes there. This makes it easier to introduce meaningful reforms where he already holds full power.
The comments came after Naqvi spoke about the need for major changes in Pakistan’s governance system. He had warned that the current structure has weaknesses and needs strong reforms.
Asif’s response focused on practical action. He said if Naqvi wants to show that real change is possible, he should first deliver results in the PCB, where decision-making rests entirely with him.
