Pakistan has announced a fresh revision in petroleum prices, with both petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) becoming slightly more expensive.
Under the latest adjustment, the price of petrol has been increased by Re. 0.27 per litre, while HSD has seen a rise of Rs. 1.64 per litre.
Following the revision, the price of petrol will stand at Rs. 337.78 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel will now be available at Rs. 364.70 per litre.
The new prices will come into effect from Friday, August 21, 2026, and will remain applicable under the latest pricing review.
The adjustment comes amid changes in international oil prices, exchange-rate movements, and other factors considered during the government’s fortnightly petroleum price review.
While the latest increase is relatively modest, fuel price changes continue to have a direct impact on transportation and overall household expenses.
The new rates also come shortly after a major adjustment in the previous review.
At that time, the price of diesel was reduced by Rs. 32.63 per litre, providing significant relief to consumers and the transport sector, while petrol prices were increased by Rs. 2.97 per litre.
With the latest revision, consumers will now face a small increase at fuel stations, particularly diesel users, as the updated rates take effect across the country.
