Pakistan and Kuwait have signed a new defence cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening military ties and expanding security collaboration amid growing regional tensions.
Under the agreement, Pakistan will support Kuwait through military training, capacity building, border management and other areas mutually agreed upon by the two countries.
The latest protocol builds on the defence cooperation agreement signed in 2023 and reflects months of discussions between both sides to further develop their security partnership.
During his visit to Pakistan, Kuwaiti Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah held meetings with Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Officials said the agreement is expected to deepen institutional-level defence relations, enhance cooperation between the two militaries and contribute to regional security and stability.
