CM Maryam Nawaz Orders to Solve Drainage & Sewerage Problems of 3500 Villages in Punjab

Punjab is set to see major changes in both rural infrastructure and public transport following new decisions by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The provincial government will launch improvement projects in over 3,500 villages, focusing on better streets, drainage systems, and sewerage facilities. The plan is aimed at improving everyday living conditions in rural communities.

Maryam Nawaz has also directed the creation of community-based organizations to help develop model villages and involve local residents in development efforts.

Meanwhile, the CM Electric Bike Scheme is moving into its next phase. Its portal is expected to open this week, with the programme gradually being extended to government workers, public-sector departments, ordinary citizens, and delivery riders. The expansion is designed to make affordable and cleaner transport more accessible across Punjab.
