Pakistan Tug of War Beats India at World Nomad Games

Pakistan has started its campaign at the 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan with strong performances in tug of war. The Pakistani team defeated India in one of its early contests and also secured a win against South Korea. Reports also said Pakistan overcame host Kyrgyzstan during its opening run.

The World Nomad Games are being held from August 31 to September 6, 2026, in Kyrgyzstan. The event brings athletes from around the world together to compete in traditional sports linked to nomadic cultures. This year’s programme includes 43 sports, with tug of war among the featured competitions.

Pakistan’s victory over India was particularly notable as it helped eliminate the Indian team from the competition. The Pakistani side later defeated Iran in a closely fought bronze medal match and secured a bronze medal in the event. Reports said the team had beaten competitors from 10 countries during its campaign.

The result adds another strong performance to Pakistan’s participation in the international sporting event.
