Pakistan secured a 2-1 victory over Chinese Taipei in the Challenger Pool of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 on Monday.
Pakistan started strongly and took the lead through Lareeb Abid, who scored in the 30th minute. Chinese Taipei responded quickly, with Chen Xiao-Qing finding the net just four minutes later to level the score at 1-1.
Pakistan continued to push for another goal after the break. Their efforts paid off in the 50th minute when Sharqa Sarwar scored a field goal to restore Pakistan’s lead.
Chinese Taipei tried to find an equaliser in the remaining minutes, but Pakistan’s defence held firm and secured the win.
