Germany’s Rosa Luxemburg Foundation has opened its 2027 scholarship application round for international doctoral students, including applicants from Pakistan. The programme supports PhD candidates who want to study or carry out doctoral research in Germany.
What the Scholarship Offers
The scholarship provides financial support to selected international PhD students.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must have admission to a doctoral programme at a state or state-recognised university in Germany. They also need academic supervision from a university lecturer in Germany and a strong academic record.
The scholarship is open to different academic fields, but medical disciplines are excluded. Applicants must also demonstrate social engagement aligned with the foundation’s values and have German language skills at the B2 level, even if their PhD is in English.
