Former Australian cricketer Ashley Noffke has stepped down as Pakistan’s white-ball bowling coach after being appointed head coach of the Netherlands men’s cricket team. The Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB) announced his appointment on September 23, 2026.
Noffke has signed an initial two-year contract that will run until the end of 2028. He will lead the Netherlands during its qualification campaigns for the 2027 ODI World Cup and 2028 T20 World Cup. He replaces Ryan Cook, who is stepping away from the role to spend more time with his family.
The 49-year-old joined the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2025 as assistant coach and bowling lead. He later served as the team’s white-ball bowling coach and was also given the Test bowling role during Pakistan’s recent tour of England.
During his playing career, Noffke represented Australia in one ODI and two T20Is. He also played domestic cricket in Australia and England and appeared for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first IPL match in 2008.
Following his departure, the PCB has opened applications for a new national men’s team bowling coach. Candidates must have Level III coaching accreditation and at least five years of relevant coaching experience.
