Female Students Suffer Minor Injuries at Faisalabad Road Safety Scooter Rally

A road safety awareness rally for female motorcyclists in Faisalabad ended with some students receiving minor injuries after their scooters collided during the event on October 2, 2026.

The rally was organised at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad in collaboration with City Traffic Police. It was part of an awareness programme focused on traffic rules, safe riding and encouraging women to travel independently. The event included a seminar where traffic officials spoke to female students and other participants about road safety and responsible driving.

After the seminar, the participants rode scooters from the university and travelled along Jail Road before returning to the campus. During the rally, some students fell after their scooters hit each other. They suffered minor injuries, according to reports.

The event also highlighted the growing use of two wheelers among women for commuting to educational institutions. Officials encouraged riders to follow traffic laws and take safety precautions while travelling.

Road safety remains a major concern in Punjab. Rescue 1122 recorded 2,838 road accidents involving 3,096 motorcycles in Faisalabad during May 2026.
