The franchise-style Women’s T20 Challenge, which the Indian cricket board has held alongside the men’s Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs, is currently Asia’s only women’s cricket competition.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to develop a women’s version of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Twenty20 event, according to Ramiz Raja, the board’s recently appointed chairman.
Raja made the remarks in a video released on Twitter, where he also announced that the PSL will be expanded to include an Under-19 men’s division.
In 2016, the Pakistan Cricket Board introduced the PSL, which features six men’s teams from six locations around the country.
