Federal Board of Revenue has exempted the import of around 52 fire fighting vehicles for the payment of about 17% sales tax and around 3% additional sales tax.
Approval had been given by ECC for exemption of Sales Tax and additional sales tax on import of around 52 fire fighting vehicles and this is done by the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited.
As per the S.R.O. (1)/2021 issued by FBR, in an exercise of powers consulted by a clause (a) for the sub section (2) for a section no. 13 for Sales Tax Act, 1990, FBR has just exempted import for 52 fire fighting vehicles that are having Pakistan Customs Tariff Code of 9941 and the sub-code of 8705.3000 that is from the whole of their sales tax of about 17% and the additional sales tax of 3%.
